SENIOR EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
Launched in January 2003, the Area 4 Agency on Aging (A4AA) Senior Employment Program provides free job search assistance to seniors age 55 and older who live in Sacramento and Placer counties only.
The program offers a comprehensive job search orientation, assistance with resume and cover letter preparation, assistance with job application forms (including on-line forms), personalized job leads and internet job searches, training on effective interview techniques, and personalized job search support.
If eligible, seniors will be enrolled in the next available Job Readiness Orientation class and scheduled for a subsequent one-on-one support appointment.
A4AA’s Senior Employment Program is funded by the federal government pursuant to the Older Americans Act, as well as by private grant funding.
