FAMILY CAREGIVERS

Area 4 supports spouses, family members and friends in caring for an older person who needs some help to continue living in their home. We also support grandparents who are raising grandchildren and other “kin” caregivers.

We support caregivers by:

1) Funding a range of supportive services for
    caregivers, including referrals, workshops,
    legal help, and respite care;

2) Working on special projects and events for
    family members that promote healthy
    caregiving; and

3) Advocating for changes that will help
    caregivers (many of whom are
    Baby Boomers) both today and in the future.
